Business Spotlight: CapCenter

CapCenter knows the value of community relationships.  Jimmy Mouser, a Loan Consultant and Brand Ambassador for CapCenter, knew after coming to the Ashland Train Day last year, that his firm needed to sponsor Ashland Main Street Association.  So CapCenter will have a presence at this year’s Ashland Train Day on November 4, and plans to offer donuts, cider, face painting and raffles for gift cards to local businesses in Ashland.  “CapCenter is the second largest mortgage lender in the Richmond area that nobody knows about,” Jimmy said with a chuckle.   CapCenter has been in business for 20 years as a “one-stop shop” offering residential real estate and mortgage lending services with a focus on making the customer experience stress-free and enjoyable.

CapCenter began in 1997 from a desire to save real estate and lending clients thousands of dollars in the home buying, selling and financing processes. By combining mortgage and realty under one roof, they are able to provide clients an easier, less stressful experience.

Locally based in Glen Allen, the needs of each and every client have always been CapCenter’s main focus. This year marks their 20th anniversary of helping people make their biggest financial decision easier. They focus on guiding clients to find a better way home in Ashland and beyond through their mortgage lending and real estate services.

Gary Piacentini, the founder and CEO, came up with the idea of streamlining the home purchasing process as a young lawyer — having a team with just one quarterback would create a better experience for everyone involved. This idea ultimately brought four different firms under one roof and CapCenter was born 20 years ago. “People come in for the cost savings, and after everything is said and done, they speak to how easy our team was to work with and how professional our team was… it’s all about the experience,” says Gary. “Our experience is convenient, easy, simple and eliminates anxiety.”

When asked what 20 years means to him, Gary says, “I am proud of the people that we serve and proud of the people that have worked here over the last 20 years. Our team enjoys helping our clients and if there is one thing that stands out to me, it is our culture of helping people.”
