February Highlights

Advocacy to the Town of Ashland regarding its ongoing branding initiative. CLICK HERE to read Main Street’s letter. In addition, we solicited comments from all downtown businesses and forwarded them to the Town.

Get Centered newsletter March edition was distributed to approximately 3,000 area residents via email and facebook on February 28. CLICK HERE to add events for the April newsletter.

March Outlook

Main Street will advocate for revitalizing England Street sidewalks and landscaping during Ashland Town Council’s March 26 budget session. The streetscape on Railroad Avenue was previously updated, and we support extending the improvements throughout downtown. All Ashland businesses and residents are invited to comment at the meeting. CLICK HERE to see the agenda.

Ashland Theatre
Live music concerts begin March 1st! Some downtown businesses plan to promote special events on dates of concerts or movie openings. CLICK HERE to see the Theatre’s event schedules. CLICK HERE to see advertising opportunities.

Ashland Garden Club
The Historic Garden Tour on April 27 will bring 300-500 participants through Downtown Ashland in individual vehicles. A list of business promotions will be distributed to participants at each stop. If your business wishes to promote a special event or offer (for free), please email Maggie by April 6.

Richmond Region Tourism
Ashland is the newest partner in the regional marketing partnership. Businesses can harness the regional organization through this online Tourism Toolkit.

Hanover Chamber
The 2019 visitor’s guide, Discover Hanover County, was released in February. Downtown Ashland is prominently featured. CLICK HERE to see the digital version.
