Train Day Market
November 4 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Don’t miss our Train Day Market! In addition to many of our regular-season vendors, we will feature quality craft vendors, a kids market, and live music by The Windbags! Walk on over, or take the Train Day Trolley to the Duncan Street stop. We’ll be there til 1pm.
An Ashland tradition, Train Day brings many visitors to our town each year on the first Saturday of the eleventh month. You will find loads of train-related activities (including, of course, real live trains!), live music, food, and more. What does all of this mean for the Ashland Farmers Market?* A lot! Many of our regular-season vendors will be with us, so you can continue to look for produce, plants, baked goods, meats, and more. We will also have live music and a Kids Market! Here you will find original artwork, jewelry, soaps, baked goods… and I’ve just heard a rumor about perhaps some hot chocolate mix? Yum. And this marks the time of year when we are able to open up space for some wonderful, high-quality crafters to join us. From now til the end of the year, you will be able to purchase hand-made pottery, jewelry, soaps, paintings, and more.
In addition, Hanover’s own Agriberry Farm will be selling their farm-crafted jams, apple sauces and butters, and hopefully even some actual raspberries. (Yes, they are still picking!) And The Freckled Flower Farm will have fall wreaths and sunflower arrangements. Ask them about pre-ordering a Thanksgiving centerpiece! And you can reach us by trolley, no less. Park at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Sneed Street, get on the free trolley, and you’ll be let off right at the farmers market! Look for the cheering kids’ section.
*Of course, not all of our customers will enthusiastically participate in Train Day. Traffic, and all of that. We understand. In this case, we encourage you to arrive early. (We open at 9am, and Train Day starts at 10.)
