February 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
R-MC Professor of History, Dr. Alphine Jefferson, will talk about the Boydton Institute. After R-MC moved to Ashland in 1868, the original R-MC building in Boydton, VA, was dormant. In 1878, the property was purchased and became the Boydton Institute to train African-American preachers and teachers. Dr. Jefferson will discuss the new college and some of its alumni.
