Town of Ashland
England Street Master Plan Public Forum: February 6th, 6-7:30pm at Town Hall. Sidewalk and landscape updates are planned for England Street within 3-5 years. The goal is to extend the pedestrian-friendly aesthetic of Railroad Avenue eastward. Plans for the work are being drawn by the Town’s engineering contractor. Construction Update: Ashland Train Station
Amtrak will build concrete platforms alongside the tracks in front of Ashland Train Station to provide access for disabled passengers. Construction will begin in late Spring 2019 and last up to 16 months. Street parking will be blocked on North Railroad Avenue during construction. Traffic restrictions on North Railroad Avenue have not been finalized.
Construction Update: Town Hall
Construction of a new Town Hall will begin on the west side of Duncan Street in Spring 2019. Construction is expected to last 18 months, when demolition of the current building will begin. The new Town Hall plaza is expected to be fully finished by mid-2021.
Ashland Garden Club
Historic Garden Week Tour on April 27 will bring 300-500 participants through Downtown Ashland in individual vehicles. If your business wishes to promote a special event or offer, please email Maggie by April 6. A list of business promotions will be distributed to participants at each stop on Ashland’s tour. This is a free advertisement offered to local businesses jointly by Ashland Garden Club, Main Street, and Town of Ashland.
